Theatre and puppet theatre, fairytales, dramas and comedies - for a young audience from age 3 this theatre in downtown Frankfurt offers a diverse programme.
Theaterhaus Ensemble, TheaterGrueneSosse, Theater La Senty Menti, the Puppet Theatre Marius Kob and the Theater Eigentlich all present premieres in Theaterhaus and entertain Frankfurt audiences with a bountiful repertoire.
Common to all productions is that they are enjoyable in the best sense of the word for young and not so young theatregoers.
The programme includes performances for schools and children’s facilities, weekend performances and theatre with breakfast for the whole family. Over and above the theatre performances children and adults can take part in discussions with the artists and enjoy tours through the theatre. The Theatre Café welcomes families and artists before and after performances and offers an interesting venue for children’s birthday parties or adult celebrations.
Theaterhaus is subsidized by the people of Frankfurt and companies, predominantly by the City of Frankfurt and moreover as a model project also supported by the Government. Theaterhaus cooperates at pan-regional and international levels with associated theatres, cultural and social institutions and is co-promoter and co-founder of the International Children’s and Youth Theatre Festival “Starke Stücke” (Prime Productions).
