The Zoom opened in March 2012. Known as the "Sinkkasten" for many years, the new owners Klaus Schaeffer and Eva Daniels decided to revert to the club's beginnings – ZOOM was already a name in the 1970s, providing Genesis with their first ever German concert venue. The tradition of this popular live club is back. Although mainly catering for Indie and Electro, Zoom also offers other music styles, whether in the form of stage performances or dance evenings.
