Vokal Spektral - are 10 young singers with a special place in their hearts for a capella music without instruments. Their far-reaching and carefully chosen repertoire ranges from madrigal and Renaissance via international folk music to swing and pop on the one side, religious vocal literature and diverse Advent and Christmas music on the other.
The formation was founded in 1988 with members of the Choir of the Hessische Rundfunk. In the meantime the group has secured its place in the field of a cappella music. In addition to numerous performances at public events, Vokal Spektral also regularly holds its own concerts.
Deadly serious and inflexible performances are thankfully unknown with Vokal Spektral. To date three CDs have been released.
