The association Kick - now VirusMusik – represents women musicians and fans of the ca. 1200 bands in and around Frankfurt. It was founded by women musicians and bands to promote the regional music scenario and create an environment in the City conducive to productive and future-oriented work.
Since November 2001, VirusMusik also presents the current band catalogue under www.virusmusik.de/bandkatalog/pages.php in internet. The far-reaching information on the region's music groups is shortly to be enhanced by audible excerpts.
www.virus-plattenladen.de also includes a listing of bands from Frankfurt and its surrounding region. Here can be found not only records but also data on the bands and the sound carriers offered, including sample recordings.
