The "Mixed Choir Frankfurt" is a new, young choir whose goal is to promote the
integration of homosexual and heterosexual people by music and own lyrics.
With our lyrics we place our fingers on the "wounds" and thereby illuminate
problems of the individual groups among themselves. Our repertoire consists mainly
of popular music, which we usually work over ourselves and set new lyrics.
We perform at least one own concert per year and take part in concerts of other
choirs and in choir festivals. Various charity projects in Frankfurt get our support,
e.g. AIDS Help Frankfurt.
The current choir of ca. 25 active female and male singers is composed of all age
groups between 25 and 50, whereby personal orientation differs widely but is
tolerant and therefore of little consequence. As a choir in the Frankfurt Singing
Circle we are also members of the "Hessische Sängerbund" of the German Singers'
Association.
