The foundation of the choir in the year 1980 was a consequence of the flat-sharing scene in Frankfurt’s Nordend district: when dining and wining well in the group, songs were also sung. Spontaneous music-making evolved into arranged get-togethers, other singers joined in and soon an established group was formed.
Initial rehearsal work under the leadership of music teacher Peter Hell was characterized primarily by entertainment value embodying a range of group-dynamic processes. Today’s musical focus is on the interpretation of various styles of choir literature.
Randale Vocal currently numbers 30 choristers aged between 24 and 54. All founding members still participate, many of whom are prepared to commute long distances. The repertoire of Randale Vocale comprises works from the Renaissance via religious pieces to folk songs, spirituals, pop music and jazz.
Anyone interested in singing with us is cordially welcome to contact our choir leader.
