Pressestimmen, the choir of the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung

When a number of employees of the F.A.Z. newspaper decided they wanted to make music together, they simply founded their own choir in 2006. Pressestimmen sing jazz, pop, and Latin American music in their own ambitious arrangements in five-part harmony. The choir is led by Clemens Schäfer. Both the choir and its repertoire have steadily grown over the years, thanks to the policy of welcoming "outsiders" as members. You don't need to work for the F.A.Z., as long as you can sing! Specially recorded sound files are used to help members learn and practice the music pieces, so even if your sight-reading is a bit rocky, you'll still manage!

The choir rehearses every Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. in the F.A.Z. building at the Galluswarte. Rehearsals are suspended during the school holidays. If you're interested, please feel free to email us at chor-pressestimmen@faz.de.

Pressestimmen has public performances twice a year, and welcomes new bookings, including cooperations with other choirs.
