Under this name now 40 young musicians have met together since 1998 in the Sachsenhausen Dreikönigskirche (Epiphany Church) to jointly play music. The founder and long standing director of the "Youth Music Ensemble" is Christian Münch-Cordellier. Each year two programmes are featured that stand under their own leitmotif.
A diversified programme arrangement and the presentation of neglected or marginalized music is a trademark of this young ensemble; whereby works of the 20th century form a special keynote. Compositions now seldom enjoyed from the Baroque, Classicist and Romantic periods are also presented. The ensemble also frequently rehearses works by Frankfurt composers or compositions created in Frankfurt, premières are also often on the programme.
New musicians (particularly strings) are cordially welcome!
