The Thalia men's quartet was founded in 1919 in Frankfurt-Rödelheim by five song-
loving men. Today, the choir has 16 active singers and 50 passive members.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday from 19 h in the Vereinsringhaus in
Rödelheim's Friedel-Schomann-Weg. Karl-August Schultz von Larszky directed the
choir from 1983 until April 2001. In May 2001 Evgenyi Ganev undertook the musical
direction.
The choir's activities cover performances at concerts of the German Singing
Society, own singing events, the musical arrangement of church services and
performances at social functions. The repertoire is far-reaching, ranging from
classical choir sings (e.g. Schubert, Slicher) via operetta melodies, evergreens and
hits through to hymns.
A visit to our club
evening would please us indeed.
