The Association serves and represents around 7,000 members in ca. 150 choirs in Hessen. It is divided into six singer groups.
As the state association of the DAS, the “General German Singer Federation”, it represents the interests of choirs with various organizations and committees.
The Association’s activities serve to promote and further develop amateur choirs. With advice and planning for own activities the HCV supports the social significance of amateur choral work in the state of Hessen.
Its wide range of events include friendship get-togethers, joint concerts, judgement singing, choral competitions, choral days, choir festivals, workshops and seminars on current musical, association and organizational themes.
