The decisive breakthrough for the choir was the performance of the Deutsche Requiem by Johannes Brahms on the choir’s 25. jubilee in the year 1977. Thanks to purposeful advertising for this concert the choir grew to ca. 80 singers. This membership size still continues today, also following the celebration of the 50. jubilee in the year 2002.
The singers of the Frankfurter Kantatenkreis come from the entire Rhine-Main region. Their motivation is undoubtedly the pleasure from qualified singing.
