The EPIPHANIASKANTOREI is dedicated to traditional church music. The choir rehearses works by modern composers and organises projects like Christmas carols at the Marienkrankenhaus hospital. The annual programme includes two larger-scale concerts, of which at least one is a major oratorio, as well as a number of smaller projects like cantata concerts, sing-along services, and accompanying the Sunday service at St. Peter’s.
The EPIPHANIASKANTOREI is affiliated to the parish of St. Peter’s. The Epiphanias church in the Nordend district provides the church space; the rehearsal space is located in the annex, the “Epiphaniassaal”.
New singers are more than welcome. A basic knowledge of musical notation, a good ear, and regular attendance at rehearsals are expected. If, after having been to some rehearsals, you decide to formally join the choir, please make an appointment with the choirmaster, Mr Michael Riedel.
Rehearsals take place Tuesdays from 19:45 to 22:00 in the “Epiphaniassaal”.
