DonnAcapella was founded in 1994 by a group of female music enthusiasts in Frankfurt am Main. The number of singers grew rapidly within a short time and today more than 30 women sing – nomen est omen – a capella.
The repertoire of DonnAcapella is far-reaching. Thanks to artistic interpretations of familiar pieces from jazz, swing, Latin, pop and rock through to astonishing forays into the field of church music the choir never fails to captivate its audience. Not least due to the humorous configuration of colourful costumes and imaginative stage sets that thrill the public.
