Collegium Vocale, the choir of the Frankfurt Waldorf School, is made up of around 50 singers, predominantly parents of pupils and former pupils or persons with some other direct connection to the school. As a rule, a major oratorial work is rehearsed every school year and then performed jointly with the school's senior choir, a professional orchestra and experienced solo singers. A special attraction of our work is the fellowship between adults and pupils, the simultaneity of educational calling and introducing young people to outstanding music and thereby unfolding their creative talents.
We are always seeking people who feel motivated enough to help with this
responsibility.
Rehearsal times
Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evening from 20 to 22h in the Neue Saal of the
Waldorf School Frankfurt, Friedlebenstr. 52.
Generally two weekends are spent together with the senior choir on Friday evening (19-22h) and Saturday afternoon (15-20h). Should you be interested in joining, but are unable to attend on Wednesdays, it is possible to take part in rehearsals of the senior choir on Monday, 14-16.15h.
Joining in?
Anyone interested is more than welcome. Some choir experience and a knowledge
of music are advisable. If you are not sure if your talents are adequate for joining, why not first try out by singing for a certain period at rehearsals. To register just call our conductor Christoph Wagner (Tel.069/53056439).
