Up to 60 children and teenagers aged between 10 and 17 sing in the Frankfurt Children’s Choir. There is also a pre-choir of the Children’s Choir for 6 to 9 year-olds. Since its foundation in 1960, the Choir has been under the care of the Hessische Rundfunk. Under its management songs and oratorios are rehearsed and performed for programmes of Children’s Radio and the music department of HR Choirs. The Children’s Choir also sings at numerous external concerts and projects, for example in the Alte Oper Frankfurt and other concert venues outside Hessen.
