The Museum of Comic Art – Caricatura was set up to document and exhibit the various aspects of this art form.
As birthplace of the satirical magazines „Pardon“ and „Titanic“ Frankfurt enjoys special status in the field of satirical art. The group of renowned artists and authors known as the „Neue Frankfurter Schule“ also stems from Frankfurt. The museum is designed to give visitors access to contemporary cartoons and simultaneously highlight their historical forerunners.
