Klosterpresse e.V. was founded in 1967 as an interdisciplinary artist workshop.
Historical printing techniques (lithography and etching) are practised and taught on the one side, whereas on the other studio work is conducted in the fields of drawing, stage set, theatre, music theatre, film, literature and poetry performances. Artists produce their own works and stage their own premieres. Offered furthermore are exhibitions by regional artists, readings, theatre performances, experimental films, fringe art and socio-cultural municipal activities with children and youngsters (printing techniques, drawings, playing theatre).
