The Electoral Mainz-Höchst Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1746 in Höchst am Main and it is today Hessen’s only china producer.
In the new Porzellanhof, in a protected industrial building in the Höchst City Park, modellers and artists create porcelain art of timeless beauty. The Höchst Manufactory recently won international recognition for its new developments in the fields of contemporary design, gifts and accessories.
The Manufactory offers a range of visitor programmes that includes public and private guided tours, porcelain seminars and workshops for all age groups, as well as the organization of conferences and events. A tour gives one a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the creative craftsmanship process of the Höchst Manufactory: from the production of the porcelain mass via modelling into an artistic form and subsequently the painstaking hand painting. The extensive glass walls of the production rooms and studios and freely accessible workplaces give one a fascinating insight into the world of porcelain manufacture.
Visitors are also offered a factory shop for direct sales and free parking.
