"Musik in St Leonard" was founded on 9 July 1963, initially as "The Spiritual Concert".
"Musik in St Leonard" pursues cultural and ecclesiastical objectives exclusively and directly by events with spiritual music. This statutory objective is fulfilled by implementing concerts with specific themes in relation to liturgy of the church, seldom performed oratorios as well as contemporary works. Over the past 38 years, in addition to prizewinners of local, national and international competitions, interpreters have included ensembles of Frankfurt music institutes and of partner cities.
Visitors to the concerts stem from Frankfurt and surroundings. They appreciate listening to high-grade quality music in the unique atmosphere of the oldest preserved church in the City.
