The air raid shelter from the thirties, built for employees of IG Farben, was first used by musicians in 1975. Initiator then was the Adult Education Centre Höchst.
Thanks to the initiative of the 1990-founded “Culture Bunker Höchst” around 80 bands and various visual artists work today within these solid walls.
