The purpose of the association of the International Piano Forum Frankfurt e. V. is to promote performances of classical music in Frankfurt in which the piano is the main instrument.
Apart from solo recitals, the association stages orchestral and chamber music concerts. In all cases, it is always the artists who are the centre of interest, and the audible expression of their individuality and creativity through the medium of the piano, whether in solo or group performances.
Each year, the association presents the German Piano Award as part of the Musikmesse Frankfurt, the city's international music fair, holds the Frankfurt Piano Academy master classes and organizes numerous piano performances.
