The Hessischer Musikverband (HMV) is the umbrella organisation for all music-making associations and societies in the Federal State of Hesse. Its members are groups of a wide range of musical styles.
The HMV is divided into 9 sections. The HMV’s “Main” section is the most densely populated one; it covers the cities of Frankfurt and Offenbach as well as the district of Offenbach, where it represents the interests of 35 music associations (27 brass bands and 8 marching bands). The section has around 2.200 members.
