The official inauguration of the Society of Friends and Patrons of the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts was held on February 26, 2007.
The objective of the new society of friends is to provide a forum for citizens and businesses to help foster and develop the education of future generations of students at Hesse's only University of Music and Performing Arts at the highest level.
Examples of the society's support range from scholarships for exceptionally talented students, funding for yearly academic projects, grants for student financial aid, master classes, visiting lecturers, and the purchase of musical instruments.
