The above Centre is an institution where specialists work in virtually all branches of church music: requirements and trends are monitored, theoretical and theological considerations examined and reformulated into practical guidelines.
The church music department advices full and part-time church musicians, priests and church communities on musical, organizational and legal questions. In addition to providing answers to many of these questions, the department also makes available materials for practical work.
The department arranges programmes for training and further education: singing weeks, wind instrument, pop, organ and choir leadership courses. A wide selection of sheet music, dictionaries and key musicological texts as well as a piano are available at the Centre Library.
