Securing and preserving traditional appliances of fire fighting form the keynote of the museum work. The goal is to make fire brigade history accessible to citizens and coming generations. The Museum Association endeavours to restore and return exhibits to full working order and also places great emphasis on familiarizing youngsters with the topic “fire brigade” and awakening their interest for its work.
The museum shows the many-sided aspects of fire brigade operations, such as manual pumps, fire engines, helmets, uniforms, medals and awards, documents and literature on fire fighting – briefly a cross section of fire brigade history.
