A piece of old Frankfurt comes to life with Rezi Babbel, the Frankfurt dialect recitation theatre: in humorous and entertaining style, poems, stories and anecdotes from 19th and early 20th century Frankfurt are the highlights.
Much, but by no means everything, focusses on Friedrich Stoltze (1816-1891) and Karl Ettlinger (1882-1939). The appropriate music is also offered: traditional songs from old Frankfurt, unmistakeable vernacular blues and "Klezmer" songs with accordion accompaniment.
