The "Free Dance Theatre Frankfurt", directed by Marie-Luise Thiele, is focussed on the spatial playing of specific locations and synaesthetic dance-music-visual performances.
The dance-theatre performances are produced for or by Frankfurt stages or producers, usually developed as live music for the various performance venues and frequently include the mobility of the audience. For example, castles, ruined monasteries and building sites are "toured" to the accompaniment of jazz or new music, church playings are conducted to the sound of time-honoured music (baroque ensembles, choirs etc.). Whereby the synaesthetic performances reach beyond borders to other art genres, which mutually influence one another and modify reception.
