Swing'n'Strings

"Two men and a bucket is already a band" sing the Rodgau Monotones. Then logically two men with double bass and guitar are already a mini orchestra! Jürgen Schwab and Götz Ommert are not hesitant in providing proof: together they bring 10 strings into play, not counting their vocal chords.

Their repertoire ranges from swinging mainstream jazz via cool bossa nova to classics of sophisticated light cocktail bar music such as Frank Sinatra's "My way" or Stevie Wonder's "You are the sunshine of my life". Jazz and more is also the title of the duo's music programme that doesn't stop at zippy rock 'n' roll.

Swing 'n' Strings offers refined entertainment for your function and has the optimum line-up, also if the swing sound shouldn't be too loud.

Jürgen Schwab (guitar, vocals)
is not an unknown quantity any more thanks to his work with renowned musicians such as Emil Mangelsdorff, Günter Lenz, Dirk Raufeisen and Lindy Huppertsberg. He graduated from the most famous of all jazz schools - Berklee College in Boston - with honours and also teaches jazz guitar at Frankfurt's College of Music. He has also established a name for himself Germany-wide by his book on the guitar in jazz.

Götz Ommert (double bass)
is one of the Rhine-Main region's most sought-after bass players. Numerous CDs together with pianist Dirk Raufeisen document his talents. He also basses regularly with the Flip Gehring Trio, Torsten Plagenz and Martha Cambridge and could even convince US jazz greats like Clarke Terry and Curtis Fuller about his talents.

Extendable by saxophone/clarinet, drums, vibraphone/piano.
