The Concert Choir Southern Hesse was founded in 1997 by Reinhard Ober. The Choir is a pan-regional forum for committed singers from the New Apostolic parishes in Southern Hesse.
Since 2009, Burkhard A. Schmitt has been the leader of the choir. In addition to numerous concerts in the Rhine-Main area, the choir has also been invited to give performances in Luxembourg, Greece, Croatia and Italy. As the highlight of 2016, the choir was again invited to give a concert in the Vatican. Currently, the choir has around 60 members. Around 40 are actively involved in the individual programmes.
