The Frankfurt Artists Club was founded in 1955 with the objective of providing a forum for artists from all fields. Its membership is made up of artists, actors, sculptors, graphic artists, writers, cabaret artists, local poets and musicians of all sectors. The Club has established an excellent name within Frankfurt's cultural life and attracts many qualified artists and patrons of art.
The monument-protected Nebbiensche Gartenhaus in the Bockenheimer Anlage has been available for exhibitions for many years. The famous architect Sallns de Montfort designed this classical garden house in 1810 for the publisher Marcus Johannes Nebbien, as pavilion at the end of his property on the Hochstrasse. It is surrounded by small gardens and used regularly for exhibitions of work by painters, sculptors and graphic artists. Sometimes accompanied by musical performances, lectures and readings, these events are a highlight for connoisseurs. A special goal is the support of chamber music in all forms of musical life as well as readings, which often have musical accompaniment.
