Presented by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, the red dot design award is one of the biggest and most significant design awards worldwide. To meet the requirements of individual branches and their various alignments, the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen has now introduced a new competition.“Life sciences“ withhold one of the greates hopes for the 21st century. Scientists and researchers are attempting to read the nature of life like a coded book. Great expectations are promised by perceptions like biotechnology, gene and microtechnology, not only for scientists and researchers, but also for designers and entrepreneurs. With the concept competition »life science design award:concepts« and the product competition »red dot award: life science design«, the Life Science Agency and the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen are now taking into account the high potential of the branches medicine technology, micro and biotechnology.
Participants:
The competitions addresses researchers, scientists and product developers on the one side, designers and companies on the other, who wish to take part in one of the competitions with their products or concepts.
Prizes and distinctions:
In both sections the »red dot« is awarded for special achievements. All awarded products will be exhibited for at least one year at the red dot design museum at the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Zeche Zollverein.
