The »Society for Goldsmith Art« is a non-profit making organization that promotes contemporary design trends of jewellery and equipment. The objective is to interest the general public in contemporary jewellery design by competitions, exhibitions and PR activities. The Society supports young gold and silversmiths by specific information on questions pertaining to training and further training, by promotional prizes and by advice on the organization of exhibitions. Young designers of jewellery and equipment are given the opportunity to present their work as small series or as classical individual creation. An additional function of the Society is to build up and cultivate an archive on jewellery art and equipment design of the 20th and 21st centuries.
