The Design Centre Hessen sees itself as a state-wide competence centre for the theme design and it is the link between design, business and industry, research and development, teaching and training. Objective of the Design Centre Hessen is to present design as cultural, social and above all as quality and innovation factor, to present outstanding design achievements from Hessen. More efficient application of design is to be achieved by reliable orientation and purposeful advice, thereby increasing the competitiveness and innovative capability of companies in the location Hessen.
Patrons of the 1989-founded Design Centre Hessen are the Hessen Ministry of Economy, the Hessen Ministry of Science and Art, the Hessen Chambers of Industry and Commerce, the Hessen colleges, as well as designers and companies in Hessen.
