The Städel Museum’s communication programme contains some outstanding activities for children. Here children guide children through the exhibition occasionally in English, French or Italian. Young artists offer workshops for children featuring experimental work and fairytale sessions take place in the Museum. There are children’s guided tours with and without hand puppets, holiday games, atelier courses and open studios, where, for example, children can produce paints.
Thematic guided tours and workshops for school classes are part of the programme, as well as children’s birthdays where time journeys in the Museum through the year are offered as well as travelling around the world and subsequently work creatively.
