Deutsches Filmmuseum

How is a film actually made? What is really behind the so-called “moving picture”? One can learn such things in the German Film Museum. In addition to holiday activities and film courses there is also a Children’s Studio that is open on weekend afternoons to everyone interested. Here optical playthings, like the camera obscura, can be built, animation films shot with plasticene figures and flipbooks can be created.

For schools the Film Museum offers a special programme of guided tours and workshops that examines the moving picture, for example by animation films, looking at and analysing a film. Children’s birthdays can also be spent with films and film making.
