The gallery was intentionally founded as a city-district gallery in 1989 and represents artists living in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. This helps to underline the vigour and diversity that prevail in this art scene.
In terms of form, style and age, the artists represented vary widely and show a far-reaching spectrum of contemporary work. Some exhibitions are held as events that integrate the surroundings, or combine word and picture.
