This gallery has emerged from the “Project Office for Art and Culture”, which Heike Strelow founded in 1997. In a cross-media concept Galerie Heike Strelow presents international artistic positions that redefine the meaning of landscape and nature. Not restricted to geographic territory, the concept also includes cultural, bodily and media landscape.
Interdisciplinary exploration that leads to formal and intrinsic innovations is the focus of the gallery’s activities. Whereby emphasis is not only on artists who have for some time been preoccupied with socially relevant complexes, but also on current positions. The presentation of art in the gallery and in public has promoted public discussion to which the gallery also subscribes in future.
