Frankfurter Westend Galerie

The "Frankfurter Westend Galerie" has an exceptional status among Frankfurt's galleries, as it belongs to a German-Italian cultural association, the "Deutsch-Italienische Vereinigung e.V.". The gallery focuses on promoting Italian modern and contemporary art in Germany. Founded by Trudi Müller and Salvatore A. Sanna in 1966, it is managed on an entirely honorary basis.

The programme of the gallery has included Italian artists that have achieved international renown, such as Giorgio Morandi, Mauro Reggiani, Alberto Magnelli, Giuseppe Santomaso, Fausto Melotti, and Arnoldo Pomodoro, or the Gruppo Forma 1 movement with Carla Accardi, Pietro Consagra, Piero Dorazio, Achille Perilli, Antonio Sanfilippo, and Giulio Turcato. For many of these artists, the "Frankfurter Westend Galerie" was their first venue in Germany.
