The Prize is awarded to students of the Frankfurt Städelschule – the College of Visual Arts. The prizewinners are determined each February by a “Rundgang” in the Städelschule – a walk through the exhibition where students show their artistic works created in the previous year. The Prize is intended to reward outstanding artistic performance and encourage interesting young positions. As a rule the Prize includes an exhibition on the premises of Ernst & Young and a purchase opportunity.
