For more than 30 years the ensemble under Rainer Pudenz has repeatedly demonstrated with style that first-class music theatre can also be presented without astronomical costs. The intensity and impact of a production are less contingent on money than on the idea. Right from the start a low budget can be substituted by boldness, idealism, creativity and team spirit – four cornerstones of the highly successful history of the chamber opera.
During the past 30 years, numerous singers from all over the world have entrusted their visiting card to the stage of Kammeroper Frankfurt and thereby played a significant role in establishing the ensemble’s image of quality and popularity and as synonym for “Opera of a different type”, also way beyond Frankfurt’s city limits.
