The offer of the Media Workshop predominantly addresses children and youngsters who are given the opportunity of critically assessing the medium television, whose programme they consume daily.
The project “Schoolchildren produce TV” invites children to switch from the role of passive consumer to that of the “maker”. In the scope of “professional” journalistic research they not only learn how to use technical working equipment, but also the manipulative possibilities of the medium.
MEWI also has its own studios for VHS and film productions, offers introductory and further education video courses and regularly holds workshops on the theme “new media”.
