Committee Cultural Frankfurt

KKF, the Committee Cultural Frankfurt is an association founded by Frankfurt citizens in 1957. It is an independent subsidiary institution of the Polytechnical Society, which has existed in Frankfurt since 1816. Purpose of the Committee is to support public education and science under special consideration of Frankfurt's history and present. The statutory purpose is achieved by events on the cultural life and the cultural institutions of the City. They include lectures, discussions, guided tours, viewings and art-historical excursions.

The KKF promotes the publication of scientific documentations on Frankfurt's culture attributes. In circa two-year rhythm the KKF awards the Berg/Berndt Prize to Frankfurt schoolchildren for outstanding work on cultural topics.
